Oh my. I will start a few years back and tell you that Darlene has had a wonderful influence on the world around her. This lovely woman leads the people around her and represents the love of God so beautifully. She is currently an art teacher and constantly reminds high school students about the truth of how wonderful they really are.

Kawika is a strong man who gives everything to whatever he does. He will finish what he starts and he does it with excellence. He values family and highly honors the people that surround him.

Now imagine the two together… I know right!?

Darlene & Kawika met in the halls of the school they were teaching at. I am sure you can imagine the excitement of all their students when they started dating!

Kawika is from Oahu, and he didn’t have to convince Darlene that getting married there was a good idea! Over 30 family and friends flew from Colorado to witness this marriage and obviously surf a little too. The wedding was held at a home near where Kawika grew up, and most everything was put together by family and friends. It was incredible to see how family and friends came together to create an authentic Hawaiian wedding. The food, the flowers, the music, all of it!

Dar & Kawika, this trip changed our lives. We feel inspired by the way you both honor and serve your family and friends. Thank you for allowing us to witness and capture the beginning of a powerful story. We love you both!
