Halloween!

November 1, 2010

All I wanted was one! I knew the odds were not in my favor, but I sat anxiously at my front door with 30 candy bars in an oversized bowl. We bought the most loved candy hoping some little child would risk going out of there way, on halloween night to knock on our door. The night was getting darker, and I still had 30 candy bars.

My husband Rob tried to distract my disappointment by preparing a Pumpkin for me to carve. I gave in, left the front door and carved away. Once this little pumpkin was finished, it sat on our front porch flickering it’s little tea light.

It was all we needed! I looked outside and found a Dinosaur running across my front yard. I took the bowl of candy and ran to meet her, I guess I was so excited I forgot they are supposed to knock at my door. I thanked her and gave her more candy than she knew what to do with. She was my first trick-or-treater in 4 years!

Thanks to this little Pumpkin, a faint glow, and my Husband for making my Halloween perfect 🙂

Happy Monday!
